Online Therapy in New York for Anxiety and Parents
I’m Ingrid; a licensed therapist trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, supporting clients who want to break generational cycles and build a community they can truly lean on.
I provide therapy and support for Millennials, Gen Z, and parents.
Together, we explore family history, attachment, and trauma to help you build healthier, more intentional relationships with yourself, your children, and the people you love.
Credentials and Background Experience:
I completed an accelerated undergraduate and graduate program in Forensic Psychology in 2018, followed by an additional graduate degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling and an Advanced Certificate in Victimology Studies in 2019.
Shortly after, I was invited to serve as an Adjunct Professor at a CUNY University, where I shared my expertise with emerging professionals in mental health and criminal justice.
I have been training toward certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for individuals and couples through NYCEFT, expanding my skills in attachment-based and trauma-informed relational work. When I am not working with clients, I am supporting students who are just beginning their academic journey to become mental health providers.
How I Got Here:
I grew up in a Latino household shaped by traditional Christian values, where obedience was praised, emotional struggles were kept private, and therapy wasn’t an option.
I learned early on to carry pain silently, believing that strength meant hiding what hurt. That pattern followed me into adulthood, affecting my relationships and how I related to myself and others.
My reckoning began when I became a client in my own therapy and welcomed my son earthside in 2022. That experience solidified my commitment to doing relationships differently, both personally and professionally.
It’s why I hold space for Millennials, Gen Z, and parents navigating similar paths of breaking generational cycles, healing relational and spiritual trauma, and building healthier, more intentional connections in their communities.
